My father and I installed the Vari-Flow on my sled a few weeks back and now that we seem to be getting nearer to our first ride, we're starting to think about tuning with it.... Now first off, the sled is a 1998 RMK 700.... basically our main issue is we're not sure if one of the "restrictors" (Not sure what the proper name is...) is required... Or if it is, which one to install. Just wondering if anyone can point us in the right direction so we won't have to piss around so much... Thanks.

I found that my 670 ran well with no inlet restrictor in Valemount. I would recommend bringing your reference sheet and the inserts when riding. They are light and quick to change. Trial and error will prove itself on this but watch your plugs and bring a few jets too.

Read the paper work, depends on how much variance you want and what jets you start with.

Dumb question but why install a variflow and muck around tuning when the ATACC is fully automatic and no jetting work required? Not expensive.

Both work but the ATACC is preset where the Vari is adjustable, theory is you can lean it out better. I have an ATACC sitting in my shed that I'm installing on my 800 Poo Mod.

Thanks guys... we realized there would be some "test and tuning" but just thought I would see if someone had it set up on the same or similar sled so we could get a head start. I guess first snow will be making some tracks trying to figure this chit out lol
