Value my sled

2002 skidoo summit highmark 151 track with rar, 4000kms. Top end rebuild 500kms ago, bottom end rebuild 600kms ago. I have a full service history on the sled as i purchased it from whistlers only snowmobile mechanic that has had it since new.

Has brand new RSI hand warmers, brand new grips, rsi 10 inch handle bar risers, pro taper bars, new rsi flexable mountain handle, thottle extension, stainless steel brake line, scratchers, cheeta factory racing double d snowboard and gas rack with 2 snowboard mounting brackets, and one very loud stinger. Also would come with 2 seats, one in near showroom condition, one torn to shreds. Tunnel has been polished as well, not boydo polished, but its shiny.

what do you think its worth? i Am thinking about asking as high as $3000.

Thats a good price, sounds like you have put some money into that sled. You should have no problem getting $3000 for it.

even though its a 9 year old sled, is $3000 reasonable, there have been alot of 01 and 02 summits (144 tracks) un-modded for 1500-2500 selling in this area, and they just keep re-appearing on craigslist... so i am wondering if they are not selling as people don't want to pay that much or is there no demand for a mzx frame sled anymore?

Yeah I would say 3000.00 is very reasonable, if I was looking for a second sled I would jump all over it for 3000.00...I would think you could get 3500.00 for...good luck at 3000.00 it should move fast.

all sleds in that era no matter what has been done to them are worth 3500 bucks. it really doesn't go down from there unless its a tweaked tunnel or something. doesn't matter about mods or maintenance they all sit there for price.

From what I've seen older sleds go for more in alberta than BC. My honest opinion is that in AB that's a $3500 sled and a $3000 in BC.

if not even more of a difference, see them listed for up to 4g here in alb same sled west of the border is 25 or so. if it is a clean well maintained sled should be easy to get 3000 i would figure but once again thats alberta prices.

senn one clown had a s chasis mod, built in 05 he said, has 25g+ in build receipts asking 10g ya it may have that much in it but it is still a 10+yr old sled that is 4 chassis designs old.
