how the fawk is it stupid that you get fined for breaking the law..................... please explain..........
the laws are they for everyones safety not to make your life difficult just sayin......
A man in ontario had guys throwing fire bombs at his house in the middle of the night, he had cameras set up on his property and caught them on video, while they were throwing fire bombs at his house he grabbed his rifle and fired two shots into his field, not at the idiots throwing the fire bombs, that of course scared the guys away, he then took the footage to the cops and got charged for unsafe discharge of a firearm! they did nothing about the guys throwing the fire bombs! F***ing STUPID!! Now ole bubba gets stopped in a 84 f-150 with 3 sleds on the back, 2 bald tires and a busted headlight and gets a ticket....nothing wrong with that. It would sure be nice if they all used a little more common sense, just sayin....

Gunman, the law is the law. What happened in Ontario is a travesty of justice, but has nothing to do with this thread. Azzhats that feel it is their right to blind other drivers are the focus of this thread.

Well my first post was just a no brain rant, you are right, in alberta the cops don't enforce personal vehicles like they do in bc, I know I kinda came out as a cop hater here, I don't hate every cop out there, but when I see them spending a lot of time giving out tickets for lights that aren't dot approved and other little stuff like that and not out getting the real criminals I don't feel all warm and fuzzy inside, plus the fact that they don't believe citizens have the right to defend themselves or their property and that bothers me, if anyone thinks that everything in the government and the rcmp is all tickatee boo and you have nothing to concerned with....get the hell out of never never land and into reality! there are huge problems and you should be concerned if you want to continue living in a free country.....just saying

There is no doubt that you have an agenda, others may or may not agree with it. I guess in your world its ok to let the general public run wild and ignore the written law as long as your allowed to carry a gun.

Funny thing, four times as many people are killed in vehicle accidents each year than are killed by any type of gun mishaps. 10 times as many people are killed in vehicle accidents than are killed in gun related homicide. Think about that. So, the RCMP should do nothing to enforce safety on the road? In your short sighted world its ok to blind oncoming traffic while traveling in a 4000 lbs missile as long as you have a gun hanging in the back window? I know this, I have come much closer to having my life and the life of my family ended due to the illegal use of a vehicle than I ever had due to the use of firearms.

There are more people in this country than you and your gun toting friends.

You're making a lot of assumptions here, because I used a gun incident as an example of stupid law enforcement doesn't mean I think we should still be living in the wild west, I was just making a point that there are problems in our law enforcement system, its been pointed out already that when properly installed HID's are perfectly legal, I drive for a living and I know all about blinding lights, vehicle accident stats and all the idiots on the road, and I can tell you that I get "blinded" more by guys who run there factory fog lights than by HID's. Our property has been broken into a lot in the past few years and we have had stuff stolen, from electronics to a dozer, the only time the cops came out was when the dozer was stolen, we caught the thieves once, they just got in their truck and drove away, the license plate didn't help because the truck was stolen too, and contrary to the assumption you made about me and my "gun toting buddies" we didn't go after them with guns and blast them full of holes screaming hell ya! to hell with the law! to hell with rcmp!!

I dont remember one person in this thread saying they had a problem with DOT approved properly installed HID's. The problem is with the donkeys how use aftermarket illegal products and think its the way to go and dont give a crap about the law.

I personally dont have a problem with theft around my home, but I go to great lengths to theft proof my property. I have dogs, I have acreage and I have gates. If a thief deceides to make you a target there is little you can do if they are determined, what you have to do is make it hard for them. Its not a perfect world, but I get a laugh out of people who think the RCMP should only focus on their problems and anything they may think is trivial is not worth the time. Prevention is often better than a cure.
