I wish I could have made this trip. How was the turnout? Sounds like you may have had some issues with the weather?

ya, the weather forecast must have had a major effect as I had a lot of emails and calls from folks who cancelled their trip. Aside from a good spell of rain near the top of the mountain, it was actually a very nice day. We did not make the summit, but were as close as we have ever been this time of year and had a great time trying.

We will be moving this ride away from the Valemountain Days weekend next year as it too took a lot away from the locals particpating, and likely move it later into the summer to be sure to reach the summit of Canoe

Thanks to all who attended, and I hope to see you all back in Valemount at some point.

All highways were closed so it was CRAZY with people and we do have a state of emergency declared, but that is for our water supply and quality. We are all safe and at home, thanks for your concern
