A few of us went up allan today

Left a very dry valemount

Back lot had snow cover but minimal, the trail was actually quite good but thin for the first 3.5km then you must ride 1km of mixed rock, gravel snow up the first switches. After this the trail has approx 15cm fresh snow on top of a thin but good base

Snowing hard ! Max snow depth was 70-100cm. We made it to the top hillclimb, but the weather was so bad we could not go further. Lots of drifts and gullies open still, but a decent cover.

It was snowing when we left and needs it. There is decent cover on the lower trail, but expect to ride the rocky section to get to the top as the tree cover does not allow quick snow buildup on this section.

All in all a good ride until we blew a chaincase at the end of the day

it was great, even with the bad weather the sun poked out a few times and the snow was awesome. however you still need to be extremely carefull with trees and the odd rock. also if you are coming put on a set of old skis becase the trail is still lacking snow for about 1km. you wont be dissapointed just be prepared. like curtis said about the lower trail. ill have some photos tonight:beer:

they do have wireless just ask the lady at the desk for the passcode. or better yet bring an ethernet cord. looking forward to the updates. curious to see if the trail is getting some lower elevation snow.
