Chloryphyll not to be mistaken with chloroform, is the green color in plants, it covers up the yelloow and orange pigments in leaves. When the tree stops making food in the fall to get ready for winter it stops making chloryphyll and then the yellow and orange colors that have been there the whole time start to be seen. The red colors only form when lots of sunlight changes the sugar left in the leaf to a red pigment. If a leaf has little sugar it turns brown.

Same thing....they just don't stop producing chorophil in the winter. Larch on the other hand, is coniferous but does stop producing chlorphil in the winter, changing colour and dropping it's needles.

Evian spelled backwards is what you are if you only drink bottled water! Beer on the other hand is totally irrelevant to the conversation!
