I've been looking for a second sled for my wife and for myself to ride out here in the prairies. I can't say I've ever seen a market where so many people are asking such a pretty penny for a used machine. Amazing what a good snow year can do. I can't blame some of these sellers as someone must be paying these prices.
This is probably one of the most obvious I've seen this spring. Guy has to be asking more than he paid as he bought it as a leftover and I can snowcheck the same machine in a upgraded chassis for significantly less. unreal...

all because they are asking the high prices that doesn't mean it will ever sell.

That guy must be expecting twins. He is way out to lunch. However.......................................guys are getting between $12000-$12700 for used ,low km 2013 Summit XM's no problem. There actually seems to be a bit of a demand for them as well?

Ya it is definitely a crazy market. But people that pay 12 anything for a used sled are crazy. New ones are not more then 14 out the door with warranty.

Side note my dealer has a 13 SP 154 with around 1000 km they just got in for 10,200 could get it for 10 I'm sure. And that's from a dealer. These guys on kijiji are crazy.

I wouldn't pay any more than $10,000 for any used 2013 mountain sled, don't care what brand. Some people are just plain greedy. Best to buy new. Unless your like the sellers and going to dump it on someone else a year later. Some people think their shite don't stink and theres gold close to the seat of those sleds.Like the saying goes, theres a sucker born every minute.

I picked up a new 2013 skidoo MXZ 600 sport for my wife this year for $7599 plus gst with $300 credit and a belt and linq bag. Its a great riding little sled. 1.25 track and excellent on fuel and oil. I looked all over for a good used sled untill I found this little sled. Electric start too....

Your dealer price is right on the money. Add 500 for x model, 500 for 163, 500 for electric start, can, scratchers and a few other things so $12,000 for a loaded 2013 with 5-700 kms is what they are worth. Now if you want to save some money go out and buy a Arctic cat. Guys cant give them away.

Thanks for backing up the OP's point, drew.
I'm a cat and yami guy and loving the resale on the doos. That said the most expensive sled is a back country x when new. Plus it has estart. My new backcountry x cost considerably more than a summit x model

Aren't the Freerides more than a BC X? How about a loaded GSX?

Depends on your location. The guy starting this forum is from saskatchewan so i believe out there a renegade would sell more.
Im not sure about the GSX or Freeride but they are more money then a fully loaded summit x
Summits outsell renegades what?, 50 to 1? just sayin'

Damn it's depressing a 163x is $16k OTD in BC so you gotta eat $4k in depreciation for a season of riding.

Every dealer I called was charging MSRP plus some sort of PDI offset with about the same amount in accessories then throw on 12% tax.
