Can't legally get into the US yet. Luck on the draw with who you get a customs. It's been pretty lax but a buddy of mine who travels down tons said last trip he got grilled and had to show his papers. Guy didn't even want the paper copies, wanted the real deal, guess took his job way to seriously.

False info. but go ahead and give it a shot.

You need proof of vaccination to enter the US and if by air a negative covid test result. Coming back to Canada you need to upload your proof of vaccination uploaded into ArriveCan.

Traveling to US for work and that's the rules we have to follow.

By air much more stringent rules
Not by ground
Blues states are sticky
Red states dont give a fawk
Its all a risk but some are willing to take that risk

How about coming back into Canada? What's the rules for ground travel. The government of Canada website has the following:

Whether you’re driving or flying, have the following items with you for assessment by a government official at the border (land border crossings do not provide WiFi for travellers):

getting into Mexico is a problem then hey.

Yes.

They cannot deny you entry back into Canada if you don’t have a covid shot. They will make your life tough but you will come home. Don’t plan on having connecting flights though once in country.

I’d look for a flight outta Idaho/Montana and hope for the best, worst case is to drive to another border crossing.

For coming home grab a business card for a lawyer specializing in this and if the Canada customs guy or airlines gives you an issue tell them to contact your lawyer. I met a fella that did that for the old covid hotel thing, essentially told him he’s going home and they can send their fines to his lawyer… Never heard from customs of course.

Was in Montana the other day, lots of Alberta plates at great falls airport. Most US border agents don't care. Some might. Go down there knowing they could deny you entry but you'll probably be fine.
Good to Know Traveling down there for surgery in a month from now. Sad that you have to go out of country for something you have to wait two to three years for at home with the wonderful health system we have. Only took a couple weeks to line it up and schedule if your willing to pay.

Hope all goes well buddy. Cousin of mine met a knee surgeon from Montana on the golf course a few years ago and bidda bing bodda boom booked in and done 2 months later. Charged him $3500
And probably better care than the $350,000 knee he would’ve got here….

I have some experience with that… I pity the people that have no other choice than to endure our shitty system.

The problem here isn’t the government of the day, but rather, the mobsters in the bureaucratic positions that never seem to change.

Healthcare and Education…. Bunch of mobsters. Take your hard earned tax dollars and expect you to be happy getting crap in return.

Friend of the family drove to the USA from Creston 3 weeks ago. Fueled up his truck at a self serve and then came back accross. He is triple vacinated but is too old to be smart phone savy so did not do the ArriveCan App.. They let him back in but he had to quarantine for 2 weeks before having a test or face a $5000 fine. The test had to be witnessed by an online agent before he was allowed to leave his house.

What a frickin joke, quarantine when the virus has already been cycling through Canada.
Take the fine, challenge in court. All bullch!t.
