so another lunatic kills 2 innocent lives in Virginia yesterday (RIP to the two reporters) and as per the other shootings, the question about US gun laws comes into question again. I know the typical argument that guns don't kill people…. people do, but personally I would rather have some one chase me with a knife rather than a gun. I am not advocating a ban on guns but holy crap they need to have a much better control on who qualifies to own a gun and who doesn't. I am curious to know what others think as this conversation comes up a fair bit in my circle of friends.

We all hate tragedies like this, but more citizens need to be able to protect themselves because you're not going keep guns or other weapons from the crazies. There have been many, many killings with guns that were put into the system in the operation "fast and furious" scandal, just as an example. A lady was just killed by one of those weapons by one of Obama's precious undocumented democrats just the other day, in CA.

My family, friends, and employees, are armed to the teeth. Not much cops could do if something were to happen, here near a major drug hiway, than to identify your carcass.

Millions of disarmed people have been killed in the last ~~hundred years. Hitler rose to power and the Holocaust ensued, is an easy one that should come to everyone's mind. In a world of aspiring dictators, like Obama for one, and millions of radical Islamists populating almost every country, not to mention gangs et al, don't be a sitting duck, or at least don't set your sites on making other people vulnerable. The founding fathers of the United States wanted a citizenry able to defend itself, and the way the Obama regime and it's favored representatives of the subcultures have coddled meaningless dissent, it's becoming even more necessary.

To many retards looking for there 30seconds of stupid tube time. You can buy a gun legally or illegally but you can still get 1 anywhere for the right coinage. These peeps that kill the innocent r losers by far, but look they have nothing to lose so why not get some tube time on the way out. If you had to look at all the losers that killed innocent peeps I am going to have to say all if not the majority have nothing to lose and don't give a **** and are most likely all loners or belong to some radical group and being used as patsies to make statements. On the other hand I do feel that it is a freedom to own a gun and be responsible in that ownership and if need be protect what is yours/family if required cause lunatics in this country get nothing for killing peeps only a slap on the wrist and Xbox for a couple years. Just my chime.

Thank you for that. I would rather be able to protect myself and family, rather than rely on someone else too.
Your 2nd amendment is there for that purpose.

I am Canadian though and things are a lil different up here EH :beer:

Exactly! Cops usually don't show up in time to stop a murder, just investigate it haha. Good to have guns around

This murder had racial overtones.... Obama has stirred up the race war so much that it's easy to see why the murder rate is soaring.... He has put race relations back 30 yrs.....

A gun conversation, this should turn out just fine.................................

I am not a gun owner, but I have zero issues with those that are. I actually wish Canada
was more like the states as far as side arm's are concerned. I think I heard on a gun debate
in the states that .03 % of gun crime is by legal gun owner's.(I think)
What does that tell you? It's truly sad that a police officer is the only person in this country
that is allowed by law to protect him or herself. ( IMO if you don't have a violent criminal record or
documented mental issues, and you have proper training it should be a human right to protect yourself)
(if you choose to do so)

ANTI i gun people laugh at the whole NATZI arguement but it's true, unarmed people can
be pushed around and told what to do at will by anyone with a stick.

I don't have the answer but I know one thing…… something needs to be done to help minimize guns getting into the wrong hands. It is easy for you to say "politically correct victims" but I bet you will not have that same feelings if one of your loved ones was killed by a lunatic with a gun.

Ok am I reading you correctly? Implementing stricter gun laws NOW might change your situation " running from a knife instead of a gun".... Puff puff pass. How about we all stop being such professional, politicaly correct victims.

how did Obama do that? If you want racial overtones go to Iraq and see how they feel about Bush.

Really, Obama has set race relations back severely, and don't forget that he is the one who lost Iraq with his fatal withdrawal. From his initial reaction that lead to the "beer summit", to the regime and doj's response to the Baltimore race riots, etc........ This video may give you some insight, if you're interested. It starts playing near the end, need to hear it from the beginning.
