I have a piece tore out of the side ,about the size of a beer can top .it hangs out like a torn off toenail. Don’t want to replace the whole sheet . There is not much holding it on and it’s size doesn’t lend to bolts . Epoxy of some sort ?

Nothing sticks to uhmw. Like RXN said might be able to plastic weld it. Rented a plastic welder fro Drader plastic on 50st in Edmonton before. If you want I got a couple of bolts and Aztec washers I’d give you to bolt it.

Marmit Plastics in Grande Prairie is the closest place I'm aware of that might be able to weld it.

A hot stapler might work, but probably not the best solution for a boat.

So what is involved in plastic welding ?
Pretty much just melting and pushing it together.
The plastic welder I have is a soldering iron. Melt the two pieces and kinda pool the melted plastic into a bead. Using a plastic filler rod as well. Works alright on thin stuff. I did my snorkel cover on my quad. (1st attempt and it shows).

I also have the hot staple one. Where it melts metal clips into the plastic. (Along the break line).

I did see a guy use zip ties in a hot glue gun... so any way you can melt/add UHMW should be fine. a hot knife even?
