As the UCP had committed to into in their platform, the Alberta government is consulting on how they can improve recreation opportunities - specifically for trail & backcountry users on public lands.
Under the current consultation process, there is a public user survey open until Jan 15th, 2021 to provide your input and feedback under the “Alberta Crown Land Vision”.
Please take the time to do the survey, as your input will help guide policy changes and legislation supporting backcountry and trail recreation into the future. The AOHVA and it’s member clubs across the province volunteer to maintain OHV trails on public lands, inputting on policy and recommendations to support our volunteer clubs and OHV recreation. This is a great opportunity to input and support your recreation on public lands, the survey is short and the questions are straight up.
You have to register to do it, which helps in the quality of the survey.
1. Go to https://www.alberta.ca/sustainable-outdoor-recreation-engagement.aspx
2. Click on ‘Take Survey” at the bottom.
3. Provide your login name, email address, create a password and enter your postal code.
4. Look for a confirmation email and click on the link contained in it.
5. Fill out the survey.
