Two skiers died on a ski hill in southeastern British Columbia on Thursday, after going out of bounds and falling off a cliff, police said.
A group of three skiers were on the hill at Revelstoke Mountain Resort when they skied "into a steep, hard-packed, icy chute," Revelstoke RCMP said in a statement.
The three skiers removed their skis and tried to climb up the chute but fell in the process, sliding 100 metres and over a cliff.
Police have not provided any further information about the health status of the third skier and have not released the names of the deceased.
Revelstoke is 415 kilometres west of Calgary
