I had made the assumption that the Canadian charter would have said something along these lines. Not only was I wrong, I frickin learned something.

Think his father is also proud of him? I am sure at countless points in his life he wishes he had a father. Let them get married, I don't care. To naturally have children, it takes a man and a woman. IMHO

His "father" probably is proud of him. But his " father" may not necessarily be the sperm donor, maybe it's a good decent man that wanted to be part of his life. There are many children out there that wish they had a father and their parents weren't gay!

All that I ever want any parent or parents to do is to love their child or children unconditionally and be there for support and guidance; whether it is man, man, woman, woman or woman and/or man. There are too many people who are not there for their children growing up (men and women alike), obviously these two women where there for their son. Can you honestly say that if your son or daughter came out and said they were gay/lesbian you would stop loving them? What if they wanted to get married? What if they wanted to raise a child? It is 2011, almost 2012 people, get with the times. Get out from under your rock and accept people for who they are, not who what they are or who they choose to love. Does it affect you? Is this son, raised by two women going to be a burden on society? Most defiently not, I believe he will do great things and be an asset to society. So who cares who raised him? If you think this is wrong, you are very closed minded. What would you do if your child followed in the foot steps of these women and raised a son like him? Would you be ashamed? Proud? Would you love them?

define fruit cake??? A very good friend of mine suspected his son at the age of 8..... yes 8 was a bit of off (female tendencies). There is no way at 8 you have any control of your body/feelings and now he is 16 and most likely gay. So this is not something you choose to be.... you are born with it. You need to be more open minded.

Agreed! People don't choose to be gay! You are born that way, I watch a little 4 year old boy who guaranteed is gay or possibly cross-gender. If people chose to be gay, there wouldn't be such a thing as coming out of the closet, why would they hide something they've chosen!!

I would say that makes you still gay and hiding in the closet because you don't wanna be gay. Probably because society will look down on you! Very sad that those like that don't get to just be happy with the way they're born!
