I do have a garret gtx 2863 laying around. Point of this build is to not be waiting for turbo lag lol. Still got the impulse nytro collecting dust if a guy wants to feel real power haha. Not sure if the weight or the power makes my shoulders sore when I mountain rode it.

Curious what all you guys would use to provide fuel for the twins?
There is zero turbo lag when you build the kit properly - turbo lag is from an improper build - I would use the same as you for more fuel - any secondary injector control box that you can adjust the mapping on

if it was a twin scroll turbine housing you’d be surprised by the results of this setup.
Never heard of a twin scroll before - my setup has no lag at all - only thing my setup does is bog a bit at the bottom of I go 100% wide open throttle from a stand still - I'm wondering if a smaller turbo will fix it - seems like the exhaust has nowhere to go at the bottom before the 2860 starts turning - if I ever get back into the $ - might try a different turbo

Well got it on the snow today. No fuel controller, running out of snow to test on. Pipes aren’t wrapped, need to be. Runs decent when pipes are hot. Has some burbles on cold pipes till warmed up. Literally if you shut the sled off for a minute it starts to run different for a couple hundred meters Running around 13.5 to 13.7 af at 8100 rpm.

How you post videos on here?

Getting excited for sledding season, isn’t that the exact meaning of turbo lag? When the

Ended up fighting multiple issues. Couldn’t get the twins to pull more
Then 8000 rpm. Ran better in the mountains then at home
At 3000’. Couple burbles in rpm range. This is all on stock mapping letting the computer do its thing. Put stock exhaust on and I could find the 8500rpm limiter

Was chasing rpm fade with single
And twin pipes on. Was blaming my clutching. Did some reading on dynamo joe site, started blaming the engine. Did a compression test and was 10 lower on mag side. Figured I should check squish before I pulled it apart.

Was close to 60 thou using soder method with a 0.9 mm base gasket. I sent 800 carb pistons away with the mono block (they were low km pistons) when I got it converted for the etec, and big bore domes for my head built. Didn’t check squish when I put it together as I was in a rush to get out for New Years sled trip. Was told to put a 0.9mm base gasket in. Took to much for granted and fought it for a season of riding. Changing to much to fast.

My brother has a very strong 800 etec that has bolt ons on a stock engine.(y pipe, pipe, aftermarket head, bondi box) His squish is sitting at 32 thou. 150 pounds of compression. I believe stock says to run 40 to 45 thou.

When I got my new pistons (rkt wossners) they had a much taller dome. Put together with 0.9 mm gasket got 22 thou squish Phoned around specialty had a 1.2 mm base gasket. Has me sitting at 0.36 thou now.

Have put over 500km on this set up and is pulling much
Stronger than original build
Currently running 36 thou squish (going to do compression test soon now that it’s broke in)
Bondi box
Dynaport y pipe
Stock pipe
Npp can
860 bigbore
Powder freaks head
Powder freaks thermostat
3.5 degree timing advance
Dynamo joe clutching
94 petro stock mapping
Kind of want to try the twins again.

Have a young family. My riding days have been limited this season. Just finished day 5 yesterday in valemount. With that said I might just leave what I have alone and make every ride count. Been something each trip. Afr bung broke out of stock pipe last day of first trip. Frayed throttle cable that I noticed end of day yesterday All minor but can all wreck a day for the group.
