I was in Ontario this week and got to see some wild turkeys doing wild turkey things.

I parked and ate lunch in my car while watching a male turkey fluffed up and strutting in the shoulder of the road, while a couple hens were eating in the ditch below him. Mr. Turkey would slowly prance one way, stop, do a slow 180 degree turn, and repeat the circuit. This went on for about 15 minutes. Eventually he fluffed down and started eating in the ditch.

I also saw one overtake me while I was walking, it flew from behind to in front of me just over a fence. It kind of looked like a Canada goose, but very dark, while flying, or a huge crow.

Pretty cool to watch. They are an exotic animal for me, I've only seen them when I'm travelling in Ontario.
