Going on a turkey hunting trip with daughter.
She is taking her Baretta 400 Extreme
I am taking Old Smokey.
Just need to make a turkey load of #2, #4 and BB shot that patterns in three weeks.
Will see who gets turkey who might get skunked.

Alberta or bc? I’ve been putting in for turkey in southern Alberta but heard it can take 15-20 years. Drive through southern bc and seen like 5 or 6 a long the highway. Have fun and post pictures of the hunt!

You got it with priority 12. That’s not to bad. Heard they’re hard to hunt. You can’t even look at them or they notice your eyes. One guy I talked to said not to use a shot gun because you can’t get close enough, he said he used a 300 win mag lol.

It's Old Smokey, the bow or nothing.
Daughter gets to use her Baretta 400 for the advantage in the game.
My Baretta is staying home, no cheating.

Good Luck Randy! I'm sure it will be a good time regardless.

Success was not as easy as expected.
Took 6 days until a bird was down.
Pretty much call and stalk and the slightest noise and they are gone.
Aside from the hunting it was a great trip for daughter and I with tons of hiking and montai biking.
Long chat with CO, nice guy who used to work at a park next to my farm.
Definatly hooked on turkey hunting, be at it again next year for sure!!!!!
