Hey guys,
looking for a little info here on how the low boost, boost it kits were running for you guys that have them?
seeing as boost it closed the doors i am curious as to whether or not it would be beneficial to switch from my boost it xic fuel management, air box and injectors to a reline air box, injectors, and fuel management system?

Any insight would be appreciated

Does your boost-it system run poorly? I'd say if you're having tuning woes then consider switching otherwise ride it!

Cross that bridge when you get there I say. I've ridden with lots of boost-it low boost kits and haven't heard a bad word said about then. I have an intercooled XM and a G4 and they both never miss a beat. There's more than enough guys around that have run Neil's stuff for the past several that may be willing to give you pointers.

Don't get me wrong. I think Dave has a good product and great customer service but why spend the money before you know you need it?

you! They may have moved on, but these guys are sledders!!

thanks for the info guys, im going to try running it and go from there. I am however going to switch the reeds out from the stock ones with a half peddle behind to full carbon tech reeds, i feel like putting a half pedal reed behind the stock one makes a week point for the stock one to break where the two meet. Have any of you hays had reed failures?

Stock will go long in a cooled boost charge sled that is well set up that isn't hitting the rev limiter. On a non intercooled machine running higher boost will eat stock reeds fairly fast. Guys have been double stacking stockers (half cut one set and stack against another) with good results, no loss of throttle response. If you shred a belt at wot on a boosted ride chances are some of the petals will be chipped or cracked. you will know when they are because the sled will idle low and have trouble going into reverse, will also pop and fart when under load. options are boyseen, stock, stock doubled and tdr turbo reeds. may be others also, I have been running tdr for many years with good results but you give up a little on the bottom end with them because they are thicker and stiffer than stock. stock is best performance but eventually they will cost you a day or a weekend trip when they give up.

Why not just use stock? 2 seasons so far on mine.

I am worried that the stock ones with the half peddle behind will break at the half way point where the two meet. i feel like it makes a week point rite there.

Boost-it closed down because of economy and crappy NDP. Government has down turned the oil and gas industry.... no more bucket loads of disposable cash and Neil is a smart guy and seen it coming.....the boost it turbos are all low boost systems I am running the intercooler system at 8 psi from new 2500kms now runs flawless and I change reeds every season.... if your pinging off rev limiter your damaging reeds or as stated previous blow belt at wot..... my 2 cents
