Turbo nytro

Hey everyone, I am looking into switching from 2 stroke to 4 stroke turbo nytro. What are pros and cons to them aswell as stuff to look at if I buy a used one? and anything else would be help full

They are heavy but once you put that 270 RACE GAS turbo it's fine . That is my thinking

I am also a 240 pounds. so I think I could handle the weight until its sticks, or so ive heard

Stick with MCX. 270 on pump gas, though not at sea level...and as long as the head shim was installed. Nothing to play with...just ride it. Or a Boost-it kit if you can find it.

An aftermarket front end helps a lot with the handling issues these sleds are known for too. Skinz or Z-bros. They both do basically the same thing in a bit different way. Most boosted Nytros are wheelie monsters, especially with the stock rear suspension.

And watch out for the big chit eatin grin. Someone might try to wipe it off your face with a shovel!

I believe so, to varying degrees. Wouldn't be much point if they weren't. Some are better than others at holding down the Nytro front end.

I have a K-mod with raptor shocks, you can set it to lift the ski's for fun boondocking, or fully couple it for keeping the nose down and climbing....once the I got the shocks dialed in the ride is nothing short of amazing, worth every penny !!!

that kmod sounds nice, I want to have fun with it in the praires but still be able to climb if I go to the mountains.

hunter rowlett12 take a look and the timbersled skids i have them in all of my sleds my Yamaha and Polaris s really easy to change turn one bolt on back and can have it wheely or just have it keep the skis on the snow have had good luck with mine

If your thinking of doing upgrades to your Nytro, check out CR-racing. They are Canadian owned and operated out of Kelowna BC and specialize in mountian components for the Nytro and are well proven being tested and used in Revelstoke and Pemberton ice fields.
My own Nytro uses alot of their components and the fit and finnish is top notch. Chad the owner is very well known for his builds and he's also a friend of mine, he won't give you bad suggestion's or sell you stuff that realy doesn't work for your application.
BTW he builds a couple different A-arm setups for the Nytro, check it out before going elsewhere. I use CR's 36" wide and 3" foreward arms, made from chromoly at more then half the weight of the oem arms. HUGE improvement in handling and steering effort.


BTW good luck on your new Nytro, if you get one. The fun factor of a 4stroke on boost is unsurpassed, peace of mine in reliability and bone joint pulling power that will put a smile on your face for day's after. Though you might need to see a chiropracter after riding one for a day, because you will know, hahaha.

What bolt are u referring to? I have a nytro with timbersled and I been thinking I would like a lighter front end for playing/boondocking. I was thinking lowering the rear shock pressure or loosen the limiter strap...???

After 2011, Timbersled put an adjustable screw for lack of better words on the rear suspension arm. Early models don't have them, think you might be able to update yours if it doesn't have it.
