Little of topic but whats everyones pros and cons on 2.6 or 3 inch lug i got rid of my 2.6 sled and not sure if i want to go to 3 inch on my next purchase

I have liked the 163 2.5 and 2.6. This year after running the 163 3” I am on the fence what the next track will be. It sure moves a lot of snow and this winter being pretty decent every ride.

The 3” pushes slightly straight when you want to spin the track. The 2.6 will spin quicker. The quick drive is nice but I prefer a TKI belt drive and slightly lower gearing regardless. I swapped my chain for belt.

The weight penalty is real but does moving more snow outweigh the weight? I don’t think I would be disappointed in any of the tracks. 155 I don’t believe I would run a 3”.

3” for sure in deep snow.

I clipped my 163x3" and it has been fine. I definitely do not notice any extra weight. We also have the 2.6"x163" and in the trees with deep snow I prefer the 3"... having said this the 2.6" in wider spaced trees or meadows where it can spool up works equally as well. In fact my one sled buddy with his 2.6" set up very well would beat the 3" in climbing the identical hill in about 3 feet of powder which surprised me. Overall if you ride in minimal to just ok snow then go the 2.6" in my opinion. If its deep and fresh mostly then the 3 inch, as Take the Bounce said.

Something is certainly not right. He shipped two sets of clips to me in Drayton valley and it wasn't close to that. I can't remember the exact amount but it was not cause for concern.

We don't want to charge you that. We just use the Canada Post app. to calculate freight. If you are looking for more than one item please call us as our online store just calculates freight separately and adds them together. We do have a note on our site about this problem and are not trying to lose business over freight costs. Alternately we can ship via bus collect if you like.

Sorry about that.
