All you M1000 owners out there what are you pulling for track speed. I am just looking for some general numbers, stock a few mods and otherwise. i Have a d&d y pipe, mbrp can and bdx intake and am not impressed with my numbers, may be a clutching issue but am just looking for some ball park numbers for comparison.

Thanks

Snow conditions play a big role in numbers, generally I see 50 - 60 mph track speeds on mine, runnin a speedwerx pipe setup bdx intake, ported with Cpc 38* helix 80 gram weight ( gotta go higher over rev)

x2 on the conditions ... huge factor .... I`ve never seen 60 mph in any sort of steep and deep. Stock you`ll be in the 40-42 range in the steep and deep for a 162 anyway. This is consistent with poo and doo in same conditions same day, etc. I have been in some conditions where I was scratching for 40 mph and was outclimbing others.

I generally see 45-48mph. I run D&D ypipe and D&D can. Dalton adjustable weights at almost 84grams, 046 belt(M8)belt and a Terra Alps 46/36 helix and ride around 7000 ft. Was out a couple weeks ago in heavy snow and I was only getting 38-40mph. I rev at 7350-7500. Also it is a 162 track.

I run a Speedwerx Y-pipe and SLP can (stock pipe), the expensive and sticky belt (060 I believe) with an AC gold spring and stock flyweights in the primary, and a Dalton 40/36 step-cut helix with the stock AC orange spring and Hi-Torque rollers in the secondary on my 2009 M1000 153". I run consistently between 75-80km/h (45-50mph) in most conditions, and have only seen it drop down to around 70km/h (40ish mph) on warm days were the snow is heavy and sticky. The engine RPMs tend to sit between 7200 and 7400 depending on the snow conditions, and I have never really had any problems where I have started to lose track speed or RPMS on long steep climbs (losing momentum near the top is another story :)).

I am running the stock 153" AC Power Claw track with the stock gearing though, so if you are running a longer track with a bigger lug like a Camo Extreme, or you have geared down, I would expect a few less mph with the same setup.

09 m1 153 track. full slp exh, pc3, open cutler intake, 55/65 gears, 80 gram d&d magnaforce weights, epi 140/300 pri spring, 046 belt, stock secondary with straight 40 helix, cat orange spring with shift assist and 3 black shims, hi-torque rollers. rpms around 7550 to 7650. pulls an average of 45-55 mph. in sticky snow nothing less than 45 on the digital read out. seems to pull hard and on and off throttle rpms are always there... no hesitation at all. i have 16% extra fuel on WOT. try adding more fuel on WOT regardless of egts... the 1000 likes it.

thanks for all the replies so far, i am having a tough go getting 40mph, i forgot to mention that the primary has been replaced with a 3 tower rather than a 4 as the spider came apart so primary weights will be much differnt. sled is crsip and no issues's anywhere else so i am definately thinking a primary issue. secondary is stock spring and helix other than the rox rollers. I am also running the 046 m8 belt

my 09 1000 153 sp pulls about 80mph at 0-3000 ft with stock gearing on hard pack... and at 6-9000 ft at hillclimb in valemount in december was pulling about 50 mph in like a foot of fresh... and in the deep pow i was pulling anywhere from 40-50mph

after i got my clutching better at home with stock 60/60 gears it pulled up to 100 mph on a hardpack road.... good power to pull that track that speed. with 55/65 gears it just quits speeding up at about 84-85 mph... must be fully shifted out.

I see 88 mph on a climb in good snow and then on othes I get about 68 mph. I do have a turbo, but I think I need some better clutching for sure. rpm's 7800 pretty much all the time.. is that over reving? I have 90g cutler adjustable's in right now. Should I go heavier? running Dalton 36/46 helix. 045 belt. The belts consistantly fray on me and im always checking on it and cutting the frayed thread. Any ideas?

Your piston skirts will not live @ 7800 RPM for long. Turbo or not, I wouldn't spin an M1 past 75-7600. Belt deflection and alignment likely out, and yes, you need more weight in the primary. I'd start with the long setscrew in the tip of the weights to end up with 94g.

trust the oldfart one this one if you spin them in that range they are not going to last. last winter i was running mine at 72-74 in the hills and ran like a top, rode it on the flat land for one day and pulled around 7800- 8000 just a couple times and next trip to the hills KABOOM.
