track ports

any opinions on track ports? see new tracks are coming without them and some guys are putting covers over the holes. seems like a big departure from a few years ago.

Ya I have a non ported track on the new doo and Tex has the cheese grader track on his so that is why I will be going higher on the hill than him

Now I am not sure this is supposed to be a serious thread or not.

Ported tracks have their place. Many mountain riders were porting their own tracks for years. Long before OEM tracks were ported.

The BRP tracks were over ported. They lead to an increase in tracks failing and a decrease in floatation.
