Never tried to miss match my driver set. But from experience with old bogie sleds with tracks that have rear tensioners in the form of sprockets. A lot of tracks are rotten/ shrunk. Not equal from how there stored. Seems when under load you don’t notice it , but when it’s free wheeling it will start to bind.

Original poster put that 3 pitch driver and hold it to the bars with your 2.86 track and report back.

How many tooth driver? Your going to notice less the smaller the driver because there’s less teeth in at once. I also think with a fully clipped track it will be worse because there’s no give. If it’s every second clip the rubber should give.

You better do this science project. I’d probably try to ride it in a field or ditch close to your house.

It is not going to run as efficent as it should, not to mention premature driver wear.
