I have rode a 155 for years and last year I rode a couple of 163's. I snow checked a xm 163, I think the new long tracks are very nimble and can climb like bastards.
A 163 is every bit as nimble as the 154. The only things a 154 does better then a 163 is stand on end and they seem to jump a bit better. The big advantage to the 163 is that you can slow down a bit more to plan your next move, this might only be the difference of half a second but it sure helps. My wife rides a 163 and she is a small person, she says she likes the time it gives her and that its easy to handle. Also if you ride in a lot of hard pack the 154 might push a bit less.
163 all the way. I own both and I'll never go back to a 155. Same as everyone else here said better flotation and handles just as easy as a comparable 155
I always thought 154 where the best length when I had my summit hill climb. Then I bought a 162 and won't go back. You don't notice the extra length when riding. And when the snow is 4' I never thought man I wish I had a shorter track!
Sent while sitting on the toilet when I should be working!
Rode everything BUT a 174" and this season I will be, excited to make it perform for me! Ima big ole boy so I can usually toss anything around pretty easily
depends on how you ride and what you weigh. Im mid 200s and ride trees 4000-6000 ft, i went with a 163 to float more. If i was 170-190 lbs a 155 would would work great. if i road 6000-10000 in bowls would probably just need a 155
