I have a 13 tundra with the 5.7 and if a guy changes driving habits a bit they aren't bad on gas empty. I travel between Princeton and Maple Ridge every week for work going over the #3 and is 498km round trip. If i behave and keep it under 120 it burns between 56 and 70 liters or 13-14L per 100k. Towing my enclosed with 2 RZRS is where it gets bad i'm closer to 22L per 100k. This is my 1st Toyota after owning various North American and the quality is far superior and their dealers I have dealt for service with seem to care for the customer better.

Its the poor mileage I’m choking on.....I recently did a round trip from calgary to my farm and back and averaged 17.5L/ 100km....thats in a F 350 longbox 4x4 with the 6.2 gas....doing it in a 4Runner at 14-15L/100 isn’t much better.....I might have to look at a highlander or explorer or something instead.....

I think it’s decent for what it is, I didn’t buy a truck that big expecting it to be an economy machine....just hoped the 4Runner would be better

My mom has an AWD GMC Acadia with all the bells and whistles. It's like 310 hp, and good mileage....and she's got a hell of a lead foot for an old gal. Might want to check out one of those just for S and Gs.

2019 toyota 4runner wife is 11 to 13.5 average about the same as our f-150 evoboos n our superduty deleted is anywhere from 11 to 16, wife had a glk350 mercedes suv previously and it was around 8-9 litres per 100 was a good vehicle but if anything went wrong the parts were pricey

I’m not a big GM fan but I’m open to looking at all of them, including the Hyundai and Kia as they get great reviews.....I’ve always liked the 4Runner because of the body on frame and good reliability history but I think the poor mileage might eliminate it.

As someone that has always had at least one Toyota product since the 80s, I have never got great gas mileage when compared to other like vehicles.
So if fuel mileage is your main concern, then the 4Runner is probably not for you.
If you want a vehicle that will give you years of trouble free
Miles with little to no repairs.
Plus have a great resale value ( just look at used 4Runners or most Toyota products prices ) then the 4Runner would be good.
Toyota has always over built and over fueled their vehicle.
I had 3 Toyotas that I sold with just under 400,000 km on
That needed minimal repairs.
Most Toyota owners stay Toyota owners.

I was at the toyota dealer in Cranbrook today. No tundra's, tacoma's 4runners on their lot. Sales guy said end of April some should arrive but they are all sold.
