My new tires should be here and installed Tuesday. Wondering how these tires do here in winter. Should I keep my winter set as well?

Yep!! Those are terrible in the winter. Nothing better than winter only tires.

Keep your winters, i ran Toyo ATII this winter and wasn't that impressed, great spring, summer tire. Going to a dedicated winter with studs next season.

Run my toyo mts year round no issues that ive had pulling 30 foot trailer to bc or usually two sleds on the deck. Of all the mud tires i have ran had the best luck with the toyos

Ok thanks for the input. I was trying to get them last month so I could at least try them before the big meltdown but have missed it. I know they will work ok in the snow but I’ll keep my other set and either one them one more season or depending on cash flow maybe sell the winter tires in the fall and get a new set or studded winters at that point. Current winter set is at about 50% and not studded.

I've run Toyo MT's for the last 5 years (including winter) on my SuperDuty. They are a great tire in snow/mud. That being said, I have a sled deck and don't tow a trailer often in the winter. The times I have with no sleds on the deck they were not "confidence inspiring". If I towed a trailer all the time these would not be my winter tires. Even in 4x4 I've slide around some going through Rodgers Pass with one sled on the deck (no trailer). Not good on icy roads at all.

Siped or not there is a lot better options .
I have ran the MT in the past during winter “(narrow “)and if brand new they are okay but no winter tire .

Thanks. It reinforces my thought. Great tire in the deep snow but sucks on icy roads and highways. I do lots of highway driving on my daily commute and until you hit the city roads can suck out here in the winter.

Get two sets a winter studded set and a nice meaty tire for summer. Tires lasts twice along. the Initial cost is more but it will be 4-6 years before u will be buying new ones again. This guy thought it was cool to run toyos in winter.

i'm a believer in winter tires. Living in Sparwood and going sledding lots there is no replacement for winter tires. I have toyo At's for every season except winter. I will be going with studded winters for next winter for myself and my sons truck as he is going to Sait in Calgary and will be travelling back and forth lots.

Lol I thought about that dude that had his truck destroyed. Already have the second set. Been running them for two winters now. Next winter will be the last one then they need to be replaced. Tires didn’t make it into my hands today. Supposedly didn’t make it on the truck as they had too much so maybe tomorrow. Should have just bought local instead of from 4wp. Last took three weeks before I got them. Been waiting a week for these ones.

His tires did look low on tread life but i suspect studded winter tires wouldn't have pulled his trailer out of the ditch that it was in either.
I drove to Revy once on 37” Toyo M/T on my lifted F 3fitty. They are not ice tires. Can it be done? Yes. But why when there is better options. Get some good winter tires and your passengers will thank you.

Can’t go wrong with duratracs. I run studded ones for the winter and really like them on my 2500HD duramax.

Thats what Im running on my second set of rims for the winter. I really liked them on my service truck too in The winter.
My insurance company now has a discount for winter rated tires, FYI.
X2 on Duratracs. I run them on my diesel SRW 3500, I find the work really well, I have 70 K on them now and they are still doing good (will put new ones on in the fall). My only complaint is they can sing a little bit.
