Bike ride was a story telling chapter in a book.

The water has gone down enough that the trail is dry other some mud holes but

Lots of debris after the lake has down. (trail is along the shore of the lake and between the lake and the railway tracks)

Bev's bike got a flat tire. Had the fixings and fixed it (sort of).

 

[ferniesnow]

Went to get going again and there was a hawthorn thorn sticking out of one of my tires!! While we were fixing, a group of 7 tourists came by pushing and riding their bikes. 3 of the bikes were down with flats. One was caused by a thorn and the other 2 were done with sharp rocks.

They pushed and rode for 2 km to the trail head where I loaded their bikes into the truck and the riders into the back seat to transport to the bike shop.

They were much appreciative for the ride and info on the bike shop.

So now I have another little chore to do...........check out the tubes and inspect for some smaller holes. Good project for a rainy afternoon.
