I have 3

have not had 3 broke down at the same time

so always got something running
I had a weak moment in 82 and bought a new GM pickup. 2 alternators, leaky rad replaced , 2 wheel seals needing replaced and a tranny all on warranty. Apparently you can’t pull an open trailer with one Alpine crate from Edmonton to Milo without blowing all the oil out of the tranny. It’s then I made the decision to buy a truck again. Haha!

I’ve been lucky to have never been left on the side of the road with my Fords so I keep driving them. The Dodges and GM’s have way nicer interiors but getting home counts more for me. But yes they all have their problems.

It technically never really left me on the side of the road. I walked a mile on highway 2 to a gas station, bought all their Dextron tranny oil they had on the shelf , walked back carrying the box and free handed it in the dipstick holder and limped it home. Lol

So was alternators. Was on my way to Calgary to see the girlfriend in the fog and saw my neighbour walking down the road. He was on his way home from High River after picking his new GM up at the dealer and the alternator went out in 20 kms. He was not happy either. Turned around and gave him a ride back to Milo and that was the end of the girlfriend visit. I always said David cost me a piece of tail. Lmao!
