Must be a cow guy.

Grain Farmer: tighten those sieves down. Throwing to much over

Cattle Guy: we seem to be throwing lots over? Ah leave it be. Cows will clean that up off the ground.

😂😂
Has no cattle. Just a wealthy guy who hobby farms and loves hunting. He bought the place for hunting. He seeds at least 300-400 acres in oats, 200ish in rye/oats in early august for green feed, and only cuts the alfalfa once so the second growth is excellent just for the critters. Around 750-1000 elk winter there every winter, along with whitetails, mulies and moose.

Son and family stopped on way home from Vulcan. One grandson was not happy I was watching the football game. He suggested I leave the room so he could watch Pokémon on the big TV. Lmao. He said there is a TV downstairs you know. I told him Pokémon was down there as well. Stalemate! 😂

A group of hunters showed up today out there, some elk are going to be taken. He has about 6000acres total, only 50% cultivated. Between him and his neighbor they have 15000acres or so. Last year 100ish elk were taken. The herd is stable and growing. If there weren't farmers like this there wouldn't be near the wildlife in the area.

Bears are on the move. They have been spotted as far east as where we live. We have had cougars out this way as well. They say they follow the Bow River. You never know anymore what might be watching you from the shelterbelt. 😬

Well I have our renter not do the 2nd hay cut in the field by the hunting shack.lol He knows why. We have 320 acres of crown lease bush next door to us. And the lease holder has a long list of hunting rules. It has very few hunters on it,
