3c didn't freeze last night

it was +7 already when we went down the driveway to the bus.

But the wind continues to howl

Learning about trailer batteries.

After I told the girl at Costco I wanted 2 6 volt batteries for my holiday trailer, she slid them off the shelf onto the lower end of out grocery cart and I came home.

No where on the battery does it show that it is 6 volt. So I got out the tester and sure enough, they are 12 volt batteries.

Taking them back today and exchange for the proper ones.

Lots of people use dual 6's for longevity. However my fear has always been if you drop a battery you have nothing. My trailer has 12 volt stabilization jacks, 12 volt slide motor, 12 volt tongue jack. If for some reason you lose a 6v battery and don't have a generator with you you may be stuck.

I run dual 12 volt group 27's on mine. And other than last year when the battery boxes filled with water I've never had a problem with batteries lasting 3-5 days running everything
