Finally got in to see doc and got some meds yesterday
did they give you the "take 2 the first day, and 1 a day there after" meds (Colchicine)?
they work good for me, I'm also on a daily dosage of allopurinol to prevent it, ran out, 3 week wait for a doc visit for prescription refill

That’s something that I actually like out here in the Shuswap. When you find a family doctor, phone in to the clinic (where they work) and all prescription renewals are done on the phone. My thyroid prescription ran out and it was a phone call, Dr. emailed a lab requisition to me and results were forwarded to myself and Dr. by email, and Dr. renewed prescription for another year.
All with two phone calls and the rest with email.
An actual physical appointment for another condition may be another problem but I haven’t experienced that in quite a few years.

this office doesn't do that anymore, which makes me mental, might have to look into another office.

My doctor is in DeWinton, about 20 mins south of me and he has always been like that. I usually just talk with his receptionist, she relays to him and I pick up my prescription in 20-30 mins

We are looking forward to small town health care, as the people we talk to in Macleod. Say that the doctors are more personal with you, as it is small town living

Snow is falling, -8C, have to drive to the city today, do some shopping, and also have 4 meetings to go to.
I try to book as many things as possible per day, then I don't have to go into the city as often. Once or twice a week is plenty for me, we left Vancouver and moved to the middle of nowhere for a reason.

Hahaha...........we were in the middle of nowhere and moved to a smaller city for some amenities in our older age. Never did like the larger centers but I do like some amenities close at hand so that we don’t have to drive so much.
