Kinda all over the map with tires on the new Teryx, came with 26 bighorns , way to small IMO, bigger heavy machine needs more clearance , tried 28 Zillas didn't really like em small circumference and didn't seem to clean very well. Put on 30 inch Mudlites and I like em, awesome height fairly light for a 30. Downsides, ride a bit rougher and not a lot of tread actually on the ground, scrubs a lot of top speed . More than enough power in low gear for slow spots and more than enough spin in muck, and this machine isn't gonna hang with the Mavericks and Razors top speed anyway, different application. Ordered 28 in bighorns, got em today, put one on and compared it to the 30 Mudlites, holy crap, way , more than 2 inches difference obviously they measure differently. No way I'm willing to give up that kind of clearance, passed on the bighorns. To go bigger with bighorns than 28 gotta go to 14 inch rim , one plus side being less sidewall to worry about and more tire options in larger sizes, ok 2 plus's. With the lift and 30's the clearance is awesome, ride is a bit stiffer but lots of adjustment available, great shocks on this thing. For now , gonna leave the Mudlites on and see how they do till I see something I wanna try. Anybody have any other ideas ?

You should take a look at mega mayhems. Got them on my ranger 900 and really like them. In the mud you can't beat the traction. But on the road they are a bit rough. And they measure small my 28" only measure 27 1/4".

Looked at em , but man they are heavy tire. They are about 6 or 7 lbs heavier than Mudlites or some of the bighorns or black waters, same size. I think the 30 inch mudlite is aboutthe same Weightbas a 28 mega mayhem, Or pretty close. That's a big difference , need a lot more traction to make up for that much weight disadvantage. Not sure about your Ranger but so far I'm thinking this new style teryx benefits a lot more from extra clearance than it does from extra traction. Buddy just bought a brand new Ranger 900, put 28 black waters on it and a lift, guess we'll see how they compare , ginna be going out together a bit .

I liked the 30 inch XXL mud lights I had, big, floated good, could mabe used a bit more grip but then the axles ect can go

I agree with the 28-30, I found that a super grip 28 to a not as gripper 30, the extra ground clearance from a 30 trumps it


Most ruts, groves ect are 27-28 tires, with 30's I could go and not drag bottom

They are heavy but that's kinda why I like them for a sxs, they are bit heavier duty for the extra weight of the sxs.

Yeah with the higher lugs this thing would struggle i think, even with the mudlites in deep stuff, i can notice it. Your maverick is substantially more HP. Good idea tho, maybe i should just keep the stock 26 bighorns, stick em on a set of rims for all hardback riding, not gonna get anything really for them anyways, might be fun.

Holy crap,, I'd like to try that lift where it doesn't stress the component angles, makes some sense.
