Its really difficult to advise someone on which tires to buy.

It truely depends on how hard you want to go.

the old saying is go with a tire that will take you to the hardest extreme your willing to go and you will be happy.

and usually its true if you like to mud pick a very aggressive mud tire and it will still work on the trails it might be bumpy but its better than getting stuck all the time.

if you like mountain riding hard go with a proven mountain tire.

Ive personally never been a fan of going a middle of the road tire because they never truly perform in either end of the spectrum.

Best multi purpose tire i can think of that will still get you through some goop is the mud bugs or the Zillas.

after that your either in like big horns for trail/rocks or True mud tires.

I agree with leonard. Tires really suit what your on or in. I have the 28" zilla's right now and they are a good all around tire. Good in snow, good in mud, good in sand, good on hard pack and really light. Not so good in muskeg, but very few are. I'm looking for another set of mud tires(another thread) in the 30" size mainly for mudding. I'm not getting rid of the zilla's, just want 2 sets of tires.
