Hello everyone! Looking for some advice. I have a Polaris Sportsman 500 X2 and need new tires. The stock ones didn't seem to last too long. What is a really good all around tire; one that will run on pavement as well as mud and snow? Also, what is the advantage/disadvantages of going up to a 14 inch rim from the stock 12 inch ones?

I'm sure about the pavement thing but if you want a good all around trail tire which is good in many situations you will be happy with the swamp lite or mud lite tire. I have had each of these on various quads and have been very impressed with them.

Ditto on the swamp lites. Both my son & I have those on & they perform great on any terrain. :clapping:

Check out Super Grip Super Lights. Same tread design as Mud Lights but have a harder rubber compound and last up to twice as long. They are about the same money or less. Go to supergriptires.ca or call Rej Bodson in Edmonton at 780-777-4747.

I have a fair amount of miles on mine on pavement and I would definatly buy another set.Pretty hard to find a set of quad tires that work in the mud and wear well on pavement!
