I need to start looking for new tires for my 06 scrambler. I dont plan on changing rim sizes.

I would like something that work well all around that arent tooo expensive. I do like to play in the mud but also like to just haul a$$ down dry or rocky trails.

Any suggestons?

SO far I have been considering
Mud Lites
Bear Claws
Duro power grips
itp bajacross

Holeshots off a Renegade won't fit. They're 25" on 12" rims. The Scrambler has 10" rims, which really limits your options. I have Bear Claws on my '07 Scrambler, that's the only tire I would run...they work good in all terrain, and they were only $370 all in at Retro-Cycle in Red Deer.

i run mudlites on mine and they work really well. They are worn out and would love to try something else also. What rims do fit these units? Has anyone done a complete wheel swap to get more tire options?

I think regular sportsman rims would fit the hubs are the same as the old sportsmans. so I would think 12" rims would fit just may have a clearance issuse.

The fronts are 4 on 156, typical Polaris bolt pattern, so changing out to 12" rims would be no problem. The rears are 4 on 4, which are tough to find in a 12". You could swap out the rear hub with a 2003 Predator, they are 4 on 156. The only thing to watch for is that the factory front tires are 23", while the rears are 22". It's all doable, but with no low gear, I personally wouldn't go too much taller than stock. They'll never be a great mud machine, but with Bearclaws on mine, it does okay. You just have to be prepared to wear alot of mud and water if you want to attempt to follow big guys.

My roughneck had a scrambler and he put 12 inch rims and 26 and 25 inch outlaws on it from rapid revolutions. They fit no problem but was probly the worst thing I ever road with cause he couldn't turn them in the mud at all and just blew belts like crazy. It looked bad ass but not much good that does a guy. I would recommend some holeshot hd tires had them on my raptor and they were awesome tires.
