tips for repairing/rebuilding Travel Trailer wheel well????

after pondering about the cause and such today, I've come to the conclusion that when the spring shackle broke it must have allowed the yoke to pivot forward, which caused the tire to run "non true" or not straight, which caused wear to the bearing and the tire, the tire let go, beat the chit out of the fenderwell, and thats where we are now.

4 new bearing kits @ $30 each
4 shackle kits @ $10 each
2 spring bushing kits @ $7 each

I have the plywood and some panelling etc for the construction job, just going to pick up some 1x4 and rip it down the middle to build up the strength of the "new wheel well" so all in all that part should be right around $200..... then I need 4 tires..... back to the phone to find some inexpensive tires.
