Fernie Snow.....As I recall Dobir and Milton found out by going ,there was no snow ......NO ONE Made any comments about not being able to trailer from Morrissey ........Dobir and Milton posted about this after it happened to them .........You made no comments PRIOR to them going .....Just to clarify !!!!
Furthermore , I am unclear as to why you choose to gloat about someone else's misfortune , and it wasn't just Dobir and Milton , there were about 10 others that experienced the same problem!! You can keep your smart azz'd comments to yourself!

Not to keep stirring the pot but I said all winter there was no snow in the valley bottom. Morrissey is in the valley bottom and at that time there was no snow. I drove by, went to Harvey and the road was bare as I recall.

If peeps got confused or were mistaken I feel for them. Hope it doesn't happen this year as the road will be plowed and we are not sure about turnouts and peeps need to be wary.

Maybe this year you two will listen and take heed! Tembec is logging in the McEvoy/Upper Flathead and hauling up and down Morrissey. It will be a plowed road and sleds are prohibited. We (FSA) don't know the situation for pullouts yet but radio controlled from Morrissey up to the Cabin would be recommended. We/they think they will be finished on the Coal Creek road this week.

The pipeline is dangerous as TCP has placed deterrents (1 meter rock and large trees) in various creek crossings and in particular the crossing at the Cabin and up the line to the south. They may or may not be marked during early season.

I will keep everyone posted as to any further developments.:beer::beer:
Are you saying to stay away from Fernie and Corbin areas this winter? Thats what I got out of this, road will be plowed so no riding and pipeline is blocked off. Guess I ride Revelstoke and Sicamous only this winter. Sad when CNP is home but oh well...have to go where the snow is.

This is what I posted in the "Crowsnest" section.....

I didn't say stay away from Fernie and Corbin at all!

There will be pullouts on the Morrissey/McEvoy FSR (we don't know where quite yet) and it is radio controlled so radios would be recommended. One can drive trucks/trailers on the FSR and unload further up. This hasn't be designated yet. The Coal Creek FSR will be open and access to the cabin/Notch can be achieved through the Rolling Hills. For those travelling the pipeline (mostly our fine eastern neighbours) be careful of the huge rocks in the early season. When the deep powder comes, the pipeline should be fine for sleds.

Once again, I will keep everyone posted as developments occur.

Thanks for that. Where do you get a radio?

Thanks for that. Where do you get a radio?

They are VHF radios and are available at commercial radio shops (ie trucker radio shops). Burnaby Communications (google them) have some on line around the $400-$500 price range. Sparwood Communications also can set you up for around $900. I don't know of anyone in the Pass nor Sicamous but it would be cheaper in AB. They aren't cheap but worth every penny knowing where the logging trucks are on those narrow roads.

That Morrissey/McEvoy road is a pita and there is no room for mistakes. Not a lot of turnouts either.

This pics shows how bad the s-mudule was bent. This is how carefull peeps have to be when buying a used sled. Look at the first set of pics, this sled looked brand new before i tore it apart and it was really written off..just a heads up to all you used sled shoppers.

If you look at the top of the pyramid frame, it should be centered with the middle of the tunnel. It is off to the left in the picture. As well, the tunnel looks twisted, lower on the left side than on the right in the picture.

good eye sleeper. That is correct, it actually broke the front and rear frame support mounting brackets that mount to the steering post.
