One no need for me to show pics of what I have.. I know how to shop around and find a good product for a reasonable price. I'm not mad that people are selling to the back country users. It upsets me when I see them charging 3x or more the amount they paied for the product... could go to a dealer and pay that much. I wish everyone would carry them just for personal safety. But at that price allot of people cannot afford. Not sure where my personal agenda fits into this? I'm not selling or making any sort of money at this... my intent is to tell people they can get the same product for far cheaper but if people like to pay inflated pricing then so be it....

Well you are trashing me and if you you think I make 3 x what my cost are you are an idiot. You have shown no proof to back your claim but yet you keep coming back and making comments you cannot back up. Pretty much a definition of a troll. I have been supporting the sled community for 14 years selling avy gear and now radios at well below retail store pricing. What do you do for your fellow sledders?

Ray, I did check the online prices at various sources before I ordered from you, IMO the price you provided to me is very fair compared to what one radio would of cost me. Im very pleased with the product you provided to me.
I was thinking of setting up another radio from you with more of the BCA channels and the so called "privacy"channels.

Zrock already admitted that the radio is not the same, so there is the proof. Moving on.

I've purchased 5 of these exact radios online and it defiantly did not cost 200-300 Canadian with accessories. It was a few years ago and I don't think anything has gotten cheaper.

The programming would be a process if you needed to build your image from scratch for only a few radios.

In My opinion RGM is offering good value for what you get, and exceptional value if you buy a bigger quantity. You can't really talk to anyone if you only have one radio anyway!

Any ideas about that odd static burst thing?

It has not been a major issue but Defiantly have experienced it. I think it's usually just been on one radio or another and not all of them at once?

Please keep this thread for rgm's radios, and info in regards to the vendors radios. If you feel the pricing is out to lunch then go buy one somewhere else. pm rgm and don't be bashing him on a public forum. thanks

Thanks Ron

We purchased from rgm and the radios are great.

Static can be from many sources. You can try and reduce it by using a TSQL or DTCS code

Playing in fire truck today.
Be a bit

If you are going to be using the radio for fire fighting send me the frequency info and channel names and I will make up a img file to upload to your radio.

Just here to vouch for these radios. Used them all last season sledding and love them.

Got in touch with my group from Allan Creek parking lot and they were a KM or so past the cabin. Also use them all the time for the drive to BC for truck to truck, just spin on the shorty antenna. Got stuck in Golden for two hours last winter because of a rockslide and went for a hike to kill time, was able to monitor trucker chatter on VHF channels and get back to the truck as soon as the highway started moving again. I've started taking mine with me on all road trips.

I have had the random static thing happen but it's not that bad or annoying. I also have to say the battery life is unreal, they just last forever, and the cold doesnt seem to affect them.

Anyone know of a place in the east koots to program a Motorola portable with all the more commonly used freq that the rhyno's and whatnot use?

I don't need the rr's as I already have a radio programmed for those.

Do you mean the garmin rino or is they're something else called rhyno? If you mean rino they just use standard frs and gmrs channels i believe.
