Timber sled or specialty sleds intake

I have a 05 1000 RT with a Bikeman 1100 kit in it with crankshop twin pipes.
I was wondering if any one has had experince with the timbersled intake on this sled and with the kit that specialty sells to delete the stock air in take box on the side panel. I cant decide on which one will be getting more air to the engine as the specialty one is sucking cold air from the out side of the panel, and the pods from timbersled should provide more air flow but its hot air.

Yup, i have the timbersled filter kit with kickass filters and screens, and haven't had any problems... A buddy from rocky has the specialty sleds "dryer hose" style and it works fine too... The dryer hose will pull colder air in, but where the timbersled is, it really does move air around inside there too... 1/2 a dozen of the 1, a dozen of the other... I have pics posted somewhere on this site in another thread about the timbersled filters installed on mine, just can't find them.

06 1000x. I put uni-filter pods over the throttle bodies [to keep out the belt dust and grime] then installed the inner airbox over them. I also installed Specialtys intake hose on the side panel for the cold ram air effect.

Well you are out of luck for a Specialty Sleds intake , we no longer can get one main part for the system so they have been discontinued ..Sorry
