2014 m8 cat grips were oversize. I've always ran the thinnest grip. Less fatigue on my hands I find. Try looking at the cat ones from 2012-2015

The ruffians work great, i have size 12 hands and i liked them. Easy to put on with air, just don’t use to high pressure. About 15-20 lbs is lots. You cant put them in to far on the throttle side as the flipper will hang up. They held up good and if they slide out a little bit, you can just work them back in.

I have the ruffians and they are a little thick if i have to wear a heavier gloves, but i like them. I switched from the stock xm grips that I wore out in the first 500km.

Just put some cork under the grips and heaters. It allows more heat from the heaters and a larger grip, probably cheapest option too.

I used ski doo part# 506152360 X2 and have no problems with throttle interference, It is close but does not limit travel.
They have adhesive already installed on the cork and shaped to fit, just had to trim the end off (too long) peel and stick.
Made a huge difference in grip heat, huge. I rarely use high anymore, usually just to get some heat in the bars/hands and then low if needed at all after that.

Pro Grip 714's I have long ET fingers 2XL i feel your pain. Use the 714's on my Crf450 and my CBR1000...well i did. before i sold it.
I have a pair waiting to go on the sled when they wear out. eBay. cheap cheap.

That would be much appreciated. any advice on peeling the grip heaters off without damaging the elements?

I did a writeup on this...lemme check
Narrowing the stock pro-taper bars on the '13 pro by about 1.25" off of each end.
-do each side one by one
-remove handlebar hook
-remove grip using air trick. If you get the nozzle between the grip and bar it should balloon up enough to get it to slip off.
-run the sled with grips on high to soften heater element glue. <--clever, huh?
-remove heater veeeerrrrrrryyyyyyy gently. If I can do it with my big clumsy hands, you can too.
-move controls inboard as far as you can/want.
-measure and cut off end of bar after mocking up new control and grip positions
-bore out bar with a 9/16" bit if you plan on re-using the handlebar hooks. Bore depth=what you cut off the bar.
-clean off old glue using brake cleaner.
-install heater element - I used 3M spray adhesive. Kid gloves required when handling the heater elements!!
-install grip using air trick. It will make several amusing fart sounds as you get the grip worked onto the bar.
-Try to contain laughter while getting grip and handlebar hook re-installed.
-Repeat for the other side. Again, amuse yourself with handlebar grip flatulence during procedure.
Hope this helps someone out there. Pilot for this sled was VERY happy with the results. Thank you NM for suggesting that we narrow the bars - what a big difference!!
