We travel with a deck and trailer, sleds are paddle locked to the deck, hitch is locked on to the truck, trailer is locked onto the truck, sleds are locked inside the trailer, boot on the trailer wheel, club on the truck steering wheel, try to park under a light or backed up to something.

But I know if they want it threy're stil going to take it, working on the pricinple that others that arn't as secrue and they will be first....

Same as the out running bear theroy, I dont have to out run the bear just dont be the last or in this case the easier target......

Make sure you tack a weld on your nut holding your ball below your hitch too.

Doug, your F350 is brand new, I believe it should have a chipped key..... The 2006 & older super duty's did not. Call your dealer, and ask them!

and yes I agree, always back into the hotel, and try to park with your buddies beside you...... We have video of us doing a deck to deck transfer of a sled, it took us less than a minute and we aren't trained in the art..... I'll try to post it up this evening.
My 05 F350 HD, has a chipped key. But it did nothing to prevent the truck from getting stolen, Red Deer RCMP said the truck was gone in about 2 mins or less. When it was recovered, the Ford tech showed me how easy it was to steal. I put the "club" on it now, just for a little piece of mind....
If it ever gets ripped off again..... I hope I never see it!!! My insurance company was great to deal with, but it's all the chit in the middle which makes it a major PIA!

Have you seen how they are defeating the Club now? Takes about 20 seconds. I still think a disabling device is the best way to go.

Maybe a bolt cutter or grinder won't get through. But you would be surprised what a Jack all will do to chains with locks.

The chain pictured was rated at 12000 lbs + of pulling force. You think a jack all will generate 12000 lbs +?

Guarantee the jack all will try and kill you before you get to the 12000 lbs force. Lol.

The boots work great! Make sure you get the one that covers lug nuts or they can take wheel off and gone! And I have been told if you rip the on star antenna off chevy/gmc trucks it will not work...

12000. Impressive. Not usually the chain that gives. Maybe that 7 lock had improved in strength. Just saying that with regular u locks and chains it is usually the u lock that gives. We have had several implements stolen from our farm and that is the main way they did it. Imo anything is better than nothing

What has everyone tried for parked trailers?

Denver boot style or is something else better.

Thanks
