This is what I wrote. I wasn't referring to other cities in Russia.

Like this:

Have you ever drove from Stettler AB to Biggar Saskatechewan? Not all of Canada looks like Vancouver...

As some are aware I'm a motorcycle traveler as much as a sledder and in our travels through Europe we did a week in Russia on a two week ride. We saw plenty and visited enough to get an understanding of their culture, not an expert by any means and definitely would had love to spend more time there to learn more. #1 reason why I moto travel, see and learn about different cultures and not judge by skin color, religious belief or way of life that is different.
But be aware of smoking mirrors found on, youtube and social media. My experience is enough to tell me most found are doctored, setup or staged to give false impressions of a reality.
Yes major well know cities are beautiful under the watchful eye of the world and where their governments post their pride in such as Moscow, St Petersburg, Kaliningrad were the rich live, shop and dine.
The vast majority, that is not the case from my experience.
When I was there Boris Yeltsin was President and Russia was doing well under his leadership, freedom to express and travel, to start a business and prosper was a lot more a reality.
Anyhow, believe what you want, if youtube and social media is your thing.
The trip
Lahr's Germany to Kaliningrad
Kaliningrad to St Petersburg
St Petersburg to Moscow
Moscow to Minsk
Minsk to Warsaw
Warsaw to Lahr's
In the two and half years in Europe I also travel numerous other countries and cultures from the norm of our western world.

PS, I just wanted to add, my heart bleeds for the innocent no matter where they are in the world. I have learnt ONE major thing in my travels, that people are good, just trying to live their lives and government is what brings out evil.
Thus why I served, to help the innocent.

How come your not in Revy being a sled bum?

All my friends are old and married or dead, and i dont feel like making new friends with 20 year old sled bums.

Im not done sledding yet though.

I want to ride alaska, northern BC and spend more time on tbe coast.

Its a matter of finding people that want to do the same thing.

why would anyone do that, willingly?

I was going to crystal lake north of yorkton.

I went through consort, compier. It turns to gravel once you hit sask.

I like those kind of roads though, 100mph in the truck. Not another soul on the road...

If someone wants to see run down old towns and equiptment i can show you lots without going to russia

been there done that, not intending to do it again! roads are narrow, 3 ft tall weeds to pavement edge, pot holes in pot holes. nope! going to have to be a large paycheck at the end of that rainbow!

Its not cheap. 1 year i did 120 days.

I used to get calls every day to go riding, some days id have to turn people down because i had a crew already.

This year nothing.

Snows pretty chitty, even my friends in Revy that still ride arent riding.
