No assumption was made on you saying people wiht out high school won't go anywhere although you did say after the fact that there is an exception to every rule.......

I think maybe the issue here isn't the context in which what you say is taken so much as the context in which you say it...I can't quote it off of my phone but when you say something along the lines of "if you learned much on the rigs you must have learned f-all" in school" and follow it up with " you can't be successful in any industry these days with out your grade 12" you are going to get rebuttals from people who disagree and your back peddling into "there are exceptions to every thing" isn't gunna dig your foot out of such a big mouth

Yep I said if he learned more on the rigs then in school, something is wrong. First off, how many years of school vs time on rigs? 12-1 atleast? It doesn't mean you learn nothing there, it means how much you SHOULD of learned in 12 years. I still find it hard to believe that it's true, hell pretty much ANY job it can't be true. The only reason he was able to learn anything on the rigs, was BECAUSE of school. No idea where you think I said you can't be successful without grade 12......

Ha ain't that the truth. A diploma mean FA! I have a good friend thats in med school right now. Yep he's gonna be a doctor. And guess what, no diploma!!! Of course this was because of some minor issues but he still laughs and tells people he doesn't actually have a high school diploma.

Diploma means fawk all, but it's getting grade 12 that is and just usually the term said instead of grade 12......
