The passing of a colleague

It is with a heavy heart that the Whitecourt Trailblazers Snowmobile Club announce the passing of Dale Gunderson. Dale had been involved extensively in all Club activities for the past 25+ years. He was our leader and mentor.

Dale passed away on Sunday January 14, 2007 near Whitecourt, AB at approximately 12:30 PM.

Dale was out cleaning deadfall with his two sons Kelly and Jason, and two sledding buddies from the trailblazers.

Loss of a snowmobiler

Very sorry to hear the bad news. I have worked with Dale on signage issues for their trails and he was a very dedicated volunteer working towards keeping Whitecourt the snowmobile capital of Alberta. Alberta has lost a very special person and I know he will be missed by all.

Dale Gunderson GUNDERSON, Dale Marvin On Sunday, January 14, 2007, Dale Marvin Gunderson of Whitecourt passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60 years. Dale will be deeply mourned and always loved by Elaine, his wife of 37 years; his sons, Kelly (Natanya) and Jason (Lisa), all of Whitecourt; grandchildren, Jordin, Kara and Ashlyn; his loving mother, Evelyn and brother, Brian (Bev) of Whitecourt; nieces, nephews and good friends. Predeceased by his father, Carl (January 12, 1979). Dale was a life time resident of Whitecourt. He was an active businessman for the past 37 years. Dale had a great passion for snowmobiling and it was his goal to see that people enjoyed the sport on safe, well-groomed trails. He was an avid golfer and a reliable volunteer. Most importantly Dale loved and was loved. May He Rest in Peace. Memorial Service Saturday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitecourt Community Centre (Central School), Whitecourt with Reverend Evelyn Rigby officiating. Private inurnment at a later date.
