I would have agreed with you a couple years back when the bailout happened as I thought these were loans that would never be paid back...But since then both Chrysler and GM have paid their loans off years ahead of time and many jobs were saved.

Still kept a business afloat using tax dollars. If a business can't take care of them self they don't deserve to be in business.

Still not paid back by GM or Chrysler.... but the current administration would like you to believe that. I for one will not support either brand until; they come clean on the money that was given to them. I will be buying Ford this fall.

Bombardier Recreational Products
, a maker of snowcats and snowmobiles, part of Bombardier Inc. until 2003.

They recieved government subsidiaries pre-2003. Only reason they are still in business because of the Canadian government.

Subsidies to help them compete in a very competitive aircraft building market post 911. They were interest free loans that were all paid back I might add. Similar to the grain advance that farmres receive right now. The rec division at that time received no monies.Do your research 3 names.

It was reported on the Roy Green show yesterday that GM still owes about 30 billion which analysts say probably won't be paid back. That surprises me as I thought GM had repayed back everything.

They got 2 bail outs. They paid back the first one that they got. It wasn't very much. It was just a emergency one to keep them afloat till they got the bigger one
