The triple triple sleds did sound raunchy that's for sure! The mono block xlt 580 with the single pipe had a cool sound to it. When it went to a 600 poo changed the pipe and Made it quieter. Didn't sound as nice.

The ultra 680 race sled I used to run engaged at 6800 rpm and spun to 9700!! Sounded wicked

6800....Ouch! did you get whiplash? None of my triples ever came on that high, half the beauty of them is their smooth delivery, so lower the better. Any big displacement triple triple sounds the best, just the way they growl once the pipes get heated can make any guy cream his shorts

one of the best sounding sleds I ever heard was a 97 Formula 700 triple, gagne custom pipes spinning 9700 rpm, insane compression 220 psi.....it was an improved stock drag sled that the Doo dealer raced for years up here....very very fast....the manufacturers need to build triples again !!!

I like red Jello the best...although the blue stuff can be good in a pinch.
