I totally forgot about this thread! Well here's a few things I have pics of on my phone.

Taco Cupcakes! Delicious, easy to make, great for an appetizer at a party!

INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground beef1 (1.25 ounce) package of Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix36 wonton wrappers1 (16 ounce) can Old El Paso™ refried beans36 tortilla chips2 cups shredded cheddar cheeseSour optional toppings: cream, diced tomatoes, cilantro, onion

DIRECTIONS


  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray 18 muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • Brown beef in a skillet and drain the fat. Add the taco seasoning mix and water called for on the package and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Place one wonton wrapper in the bottom of each muffin cup. Layer about 1 tbsp of refried beans on top of each wonton. Crush one tortilla chip on top of the beans. Top with 1 tbsp of taco meat and 1 tbsp of shredded cheese. Repeat the layers again with a wonton wrapper, refried beans, tortilla chips, taco meat, and cheese.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove cupcakes from tin and top with your favorite taco toppings (i.e. sour cream, diced tomatoes, onion, or cilantro).

I also went to Castlegar last summer and helped Amy make salsa! A bottle of vodka later and we had 52 jars of salsa made! Also made our own clamato out of the scrap tomato juice. Don't ask me the recipe though...I have no clue lol.

My version of Shepards Pie:



Ingredients:
- 1-2lbs of ground beef
- 2 packets of McCormick International Peppercorn Gravy Mix (it's my favorite of the packet stuff.
- 1 bag of Green Giant frozen whole green beans and carrots
- 3-4 large russet potatoes
- Your fav cheese. I like the habanero cheese

Cooking Instructions:
- brown ground beef in a pan
- make gravy in a seperate pan
- grease a glass pyrex dish
- mix all ingredients together in pan
- top with as much or as little cheese as you want
- Bake at 350 for 20-30mins

My usual burg consists of 1llb extra lean ground beef, 1 egg, worchester, chili powder, garlic powder, black pepper, chunks of white onion, bit of ketchup, and some BBQ sauce.

I also make a similar burger and stuff it with cheese and bacon in the middle and also another one that is surprisingly good with oats and chopped spinach.

My wife makes homemade burgers with crushed up Doritos in them. Freakin delicious , and you can change up the flavour of Doritos every time you make them.

Marinate your pork, chops or ribs, in Oyster Sauce before throwing them on the BBQ. Season with a little of your fave spice and BAM!!! You'll always be using it.
Try Oyster Sauce when doing chkn wings and 3 cloves garlic then sprinkle sesame seeds . I cook the wings on the barbq then toss them in sauce

I just remembered this thread........ And now being a non smoker for 2.5 years, I have a new love for food and love to cook.
I'll have to back read and try a few things here and will post what I have been doing

This is today, from the "Top Posters" thread

What I have prepared for tonight.

Top Sirlion steaks, with pepper, Keg spice on one side, steak spice on the other, and a quick dash of, Himalayian pink salt. On the Q
Fresh shrimp, in melted butter, fresh ground peppercorn, fresh pressed garlic, fresh diced dill, all to be pan seared.
Spanish onions, with fresh white mushrooms, basil, parsley, oregano, fresh ground pepper, table pepper, ground garlic, and pan seared as well.
Fresh french loaf, cut into serving size pieces, with a sprinkle of fresh cut dill, kosher salt and my own garlic aioli as a spread, to be done on the Q
And the classic baked potato, on the Q. 45 minutes prior to grilling
