That's correct Jeff but it looks to me if it continues up that draw it will meet up with Skyline and if it crosses that it would be in cut blocks below Owlhead cabin. Unless I am not interpreting the map correctly which is possible.lol

I was looking at the map and where the Owlhead cabin is and its a ways from there, 50.7882699432716, -118.83205831551572

What are the GPS cords for the Hunters cabin.

The roof of my travel trailer has alot of ash on it, spent a hour cleaning it. I have not seen ash this bad in awhile around home.
Hopefully everyone on BC is doing well, our thoughts are with the BC residents,

The NE end of that fire is just below the big bend in Skyline. Owl cabin is straight up from there as the crow flies. Its not that far. if it gets to the other side of that drainage is what I was thinking. I was on the north side of that drainage up top just above those cut blocks I see from my house the other day in my jeep. Didn't look that far from the creek to where I was and that spot is fairly close to the access road they groom in winter..

Looks like they are getting settled in to be here for a while. They just set up a heli fueling station by my house. and they are landing and fueling. They had been going to Vernon to fuel

Lots of chopper activity at the SA airport (3 of them while I unloaded a bunch of lumber at the dump) and it looked like they were flying over the Larch Hills/Rubberhead Highlands on their way east. But who knows where they were flying. Sure makes sense to set up something in Sicamous.

Message from Sled Sicamous GM last night. We are getting a lot of ash and burnt needles in town this morning.

Good evening Sicamous Sledders! I just wanted to provide a quick update that Wildfire BC, Sicamous, Swansea Point, Ranchero, and Malakwa fire departments are putting in a tremendous effort to keep our communities safe and the 'Two Mile' fire consuming in a safe direction.
A huge thank you to every single one of them!!!!
This said, Sled Sicamous is working in conjunction with our BC Recreation officer to ensure that the Owlhead cabin coordinates are in the back of these firefighter's minds too (as we are cognisant that - although far off now - the Cabin is in the path of the fire as the crow flies). We'll keep you updated if anything changes, but for now it's not a concern to address further and we'll continue to focus our positive thoughts on the communities below.

This is from last Wednesday when they did a tactical evac of all the properties on the south/east side of the bay in Seymour Arm. Thanks to the structural firefighters on the ground nothing was lost. They did lose the fire break but their sprinkler set ups saved the homes in the direct path. Pretty crazy hearing all the boats coming across with kids crying and sirens blaring.
