So which sled pulls the hardest?
The Ski-Doo Freeride with its all-new 800 E-Tec engine. Second is a dead tie between the Assault, with its new two-injector Cleanfire 800, and the HCR, with the proven 800 Suzuki twin.

Copied and pasted from snowest magazine which can be downloaded for free today. Although i really do not care what has more power.

I rode a 2011 E-Tec demo on Sunday. It had a Straightline Performance Pipe but otherwise was stock. The sled had ~200km on it when I left the parking lot. I was Very impressed with this sled. Having come off my 08 860 BB the day before I had a true comparison. I'm not saying the E-Tec pulled harder than the big bore but it certainly gave it a run for it's money. Add that to the narrow front end and you can pretty much guarantee that they'll be a 2012 in my garage come November. I felt more at home on the E-Tec in 2 hours than I ever had on my 08, so much so that my riding buddies even noticed.

Which sled is the lightest?
The Polaris Assault, thanks to a 40-pound diet from its 2010 version. Here are the wet weights (full of fuel and oil, carrying a spare belt and OEM-supplied tool kit):
Polaris Assault 800: 548 lbs.
Arctic Cat HCR 800: 556 lbs.
Ski-Doo Freeride 800: 577 lbs.
Which sled has the biggest footprint?
The Ski-Doo Freeride. It has a 16x154-inch track, with 2.25-inch lugs.
The Polaris Assault runs a new, longer 15x155-inch track for 2011 with 2.125-inch lugs. It’s still the stiff Competition track lug.
Arctic Cat’s HCR has a 15x153-inch track with 2.25-inch lugs, and for 2011 it’s been changed to an 85 durometer compound, down from 90 duro in 2010.

This weekend we rode out in Revy. Our group had an 08, 09, and 2 11's. The one day I got to ride each of these on the same bowl back to back. I found that between the 08 and 09, the handling had a pretty big difference in handling and no difference in power.....ofcoarse. But between those and the 2011 is night and day in my opinion.
Powerwise Id say the 11 pulls harder but its not a huge difference. The throttle pull is way lighter and the power is much more predictable. The hugest difference is rthe handling. This sled is a blast and you can lay it over and sidehill all day long.
The only complaint so far is that it seems to stumble in the midrange once in a while??????? weird. Also starts Way easier.
Cheers

My etec definitely pulls harder than my 09. Both 163's. The 09 had a dynaport pipe and Y - pipe. That means it should have had 160hp. In any case the etec pulls harder. I guess there not too far out saying 163.
