Well its tuesday, left my house and its -39 on the gauge on the dash, and I believe that. BRRR :frozenmsn:

Truck feels like a Flinstone Vehicle, I dont think the tires are round anymore. It starts good though, thats a good thing.

As im in the fire and flood restoration business, last night I got an emergency call and a millon dollar house in twilleger which had a broken toilet on the second floor. Water runs down, well it ran all the way through the furnaces and wiped them out. The owner is out of the country and his nephew is looking after the house every few days. While Im sure this one was on the end of the second day, I should of brought my ICE skates rather than my boots. It would of been easier to get around the house. The 3 car attached garage was a mess as well with 3 cars frozen to the ground with about 3" Ice covering them as well as the ceilings, insulation and ice. Had to run to the vehicles several times to warm up. I say our crews will be busy there through the weekend. Im thinking someone is having a bad week there.

The garbage man didn't even come yesterday, they must not come when its real cold. I hear we are to get some more snow too.
If you have animals make sure there in a warm area and not outside.

Yep, it's cold...but it a dry cold...lol.
I showed -35 this morning in the truck. Same story, square wheels and riding like a tank, but it started just fine.
Can't wait for the weather to warm to a beautiful -15.

Cheerz.

my car would not start this morning. I was to take the kid for school test today. I don't mind that we had to stay home, it is warm in the house. I do have to go out and later and feed again. The horses go through feed like crazy in this weather.

Wifes car was parked in the garage. Got half way to work and the car started chugging, & clutch was stiff. She got all freaked out and came back home and took the rest of the day off. I put some cardboard on the rad and put some gas line in the tank, and bleed some fluid out of the clutch line (in case there was water in it, which I don't think there was). Seams to be ok now. No idea what would make it chug like that, used 1/2 tank a fuel between calmar and devon and back. Maybe an injector sticking open.

The Dodge CTD started up fine - it has to stay outside of course. Power stearing wined a bit but it started ok. Rides a little firm. Stearing is a bit harder to turn and the breaks take a second to come on. Good thing I have that mopar winter front for it - worth every penny. Would like to get a belly wrap tarp for it if I knew where I could get one to fit. The underside of the engine bay is way too open in this cold.

A co-worker had a story to tell today: Last night he opened the front door of his house out of town near Edmonton and found a deer bed down near the house out of the wind. The deer grunted and didn't move as if to say, leave me alone catch you in the morning.:)

I would guess this cold snap is very tough on the animals out there.
