reading that made me glad I snow checked a summit instead of the freeride. I was a bit worried I made the wrong choice, but not any more. Thanks Dave

Lol. Nope. Not ready yet. As long as I can afford it my sled will be good for another season and them become the spare. In theory.

Did I read that right, or did ot say the free-ride now had "8 inches more forward riding position than the Summit XM"???? What did they do to achieve this is is not on an XM chassis????

Is that a typo?????????? What do you mean Exactly norona that the free-ride is "farther forward???

"The Freeride for 2014 gets T-motion, Flex Edge Track, Open Running Boards and the 8 inches further forward from the Summit XM...??

Or is that comparing it to the XP chassis of last year??? Meaning its matched with the XM now???? Im so confused.....

i believe that is a typo.. The freeride and the summit chassis look almost identical when you compare them from the sides. The freeride definitely isn't 8" further forward than the summit, my guess would be that it was supposed to be compared with last years XP freeride.

not at typo, you might not just understand the meaning. The summit xm allows you to get 8 inches further forward on the running boards over the central mass of the vehicle, in 2014 the freeride has this too since it is the xm chassis, not steering post. cheers dave

163 Xm for the hills and 137 freeride for banging ditches. The freeride is my favorite ditch sled ever. Handles awesome. Jumps whatever. Way over 500 km on mine. I think I'm on Doo laid now too....
